Mary Zettl, MA
Profile
Canadian-Prairie born and raised, now based in Quebec, I have worked within the health and social science research space since 2014 in university, non-profit and community settings. Work across all sectors centered on supporting and improving services for vulnerable and hard to reach groups through patient/community involvement, cultural tailoring and effective knowledge transfer.
I hold a Bachelor and Master of Arts, in interdisciplinary social science degrees concentrating on societal transition and international development, specializing in post-1989 Eastern and Southern Europe. I have continued to develop skills in the research sector through additional education in grant development, clinical research coordination, knowledge mobilization and CIHR research ethics certification.
My approach to evaluation and knowledge mobilization is action-oriented, stakeholder-centered and collaborative. I leverage my expertise in development and social determinants of health with strong research and communication skills to extract relevant data. I combine this with scientific evidence to provide solutions that provide a clear picture of needed actions for service providers and businesses that result in better health and quality of life for their individual clients and community.
